The Old Chicago Post Office buzzed with excitement on Saturday, April 6, as students gathered for their annual EyeBall organized by Chris Cook ’26 and the Student Association. The event celebrated the achievements and talents of ICO students and the progress each class has made over the past year, with food, drinks and a series of communal awards.


The Eyeball Award, honoring the students with the best eyes at ICO, was awarded to Grace Sigler ’24, Greg Maliszewski ’25, Thomas Lach ’26, and Lexi Moisan ’27. This accolade recognizes individuals for their exemplary ocular attributes and contributions to the class.


In recognition of innovation and potential, the Edison Award was given to Stark Bishop ’24, Brant Hoggatt ’25, Ryan Mannion ’26, and William Hu ’27. This award highlights those most likely to invent the newest optometric technology, acknowledging their creativity and forward-thinking approach in the field of optometry.


The #1 Draft Pick Award, bestowed upon the best individuals to have as patients during practicals, was awarded to Julia Maida ’24, Dayne Crouch ’25, Maya Weis ’26, and Talia Teliani ’27. This honor underscores their cooperation and excellence in practical applications, making them exemplary participants in clinical settings.
