Roger Hanson retired from the Blue Earth Valley Eye Clinic, located in Blue Earth and Winnebago, Minn., after 57 years of practice.


Ronald Henson competed in Wisconsin’s Senior Olympics last summer for the first time. He competed in all four cycling events in the 75-79 age group, winning a gold medal and setting a new state record in one event.


James Doherty recently expanded his private practice, AccuVision, to a sixth location in Schaumburg, Ill. Don Helms, OD ’76 will be the attending doctor at this location.


Larry Morrison was elected president of the Minnesota Optometric Association at the association’s annual meeting in February.


Barry Lesnick passed the American Board of Optometry Board Certification exam in July 2013 and is now an ABO Diplomate.

Tommy Lim was honored with a “Special Society Recognition of Lifetime Contributions” award by the Santa Clara County Optometric Society.


In January, Millicent Knight was named Head of Professional Affairs at Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, North America. In this role, she will direct development and deployment professional strategy, as well as oversee the company’s professional and education platform.


Paul Stauder and his wife welcomed daughter Andi Anne on Nov. 3, 2013. Dr. Stauder is currently president-elect of the Illinois Optometric Association.


Garrick Layman has joined Frantz EyeCare. The business has five locations in southwest Florida.


Diane Lee married Jason Kim on June 23, 2013. They reside in Chicago.


Jackie Haro, a Cornea/Contact Lens resident, and her husband, Michael Marquez, welcomed son Michael Justin on June 16, 2013.


Mark Burke and his wife, Lisa, welcomed son Jackson Reid on Nov. 9, 2013.


Anna (nee Domes) Miller has joined Dan Levin, OD ’88 at Eyesite Family Eyecare in Fargo, N.D.


In the Fall 2013 issue, we misidentified the class year of Eric Baas, OD ’06 as 2002. We regret this error.
